Beyond Measure

April 23, 2009

Trevor just sent me this photo of me digging a hole for his fence a couple of weeks ago. His girlfriend was so impressed by the “girth” of my “tricep” that she pulled out measuring tape.

So ask yourself: Do I intimidate you?

I think you’d be way more intimidating if you showed that “patch” of hair on your chest.

I’ll have you know that I’ve tended to that patch for 28 years, thank you very much.

I thought girth was the distance around, not length. She appears to be impressed by your length which is also something to be proud about.

I’m glad she didn’t measure the girth of anything else on the Stegausarus. She would have thought she was transported back in time to grade school. Who wants milk and cookies?

As a physical therapist (AKA – expert in measurements/kinesiology) I am here to say that John is correct. A girth measurement would be the measurement around the triceps, not the distance from your humeral head to the elbow. 🙂 So therefore, I was not to impressed! But nice try… 🙂
